Benelli M2 Field

The Benelli M2 Field is the workhorse of the semi-automatic Benelli shotguns, combining light, nimble handling with rugged construction. Built around the ultra-reliable Inertia Driven® bolt mechanism, it cycles nearly any 12-gauge cartridge from 2-3/4 inch target loads to the heaviest 3 inch magnums, and it is also available in 20 gauge.

Benelli engineers have adapted the ComforTech™ recoil system to the M2, reducing felt recoil by up to 48 percent and cutting muzzle climb by 15 percent. Together, these enhancements put the shooter back on target up to 69 percent faster and make the M2 one of the most comfortable shotguns you will ever shoot.

M2 Field models offer 21, 24, 26, and 28 inch barrels with 3 inch chambers and include five choke tubes—Cylinder, Improved Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full—plus a wrench. Right- and left-hand versions are available, along with a Compact model. Typical 12-gauge weights range from approximately 6.9 to 7.2 pounds depending on barrel length. Finishes include Black Synthetic, Realtree APG HD, Advantage Max-4 HD, Realtree Max-5, and Satin Walnut on non-ComforTech versions.

Standard features include the ComforTech™ recoil reduction system on synthetic models, ComforTech™ gel recoil pads and comb pads with three length-of-pull options, the Inertia Driven® operating system, a shim kit to adjust drop and cast, and Benelli’s Crio barrel and choke system for uniform patterns. A fitted hard case is included.

The M2 Waterfowl Edition adds Benelli Performance Shop enhancements tailored for the blind. Custom work includes a honed and polished action, a custom-tuned trigger group, three Rob Roberts Triple Treat choke tubes, a lengthened and polished forcing cone, a HiViz Comp front sight, an oversized bolt handle, an enlarged bolt release, and a paracord survival sling. Each Waterfowl Edition is test-fired with a computerized pattern analysis machine to ensure consistent, even patterns. Configurations include a 20-gauge model with a 28 inch barrel, Realtree Max-5 ComforTech stock, and a 3 inch chamber at approximately 5.9 pounds, and a 12-gauge model with a 28 inch barrel, Optifade with Cerakote finish, and a 3 inch chamber at approximately 7.2 pounds.
